Samantha Perrotta Wins Farnum Cup and Silver Cross

Union League at Torresdale was a beautiful and challenging test of golf for the players competing in the 2020 Mary Thayer Farnum Cup.  In the end, our WGAP Match Play Champion, Samantha Perrotta (Old York – Chesterfield) was victorious by two shots over Liddie McCook (Applecross).  In the net division, Nicoll Keeney (Wilmington) shot her best round of the year on day 2 to win the net division by 11 shots over runner-up Ruth Averback (Old York Road).

The Silver Cross is awarded to the player with the lowest combined gross score from the qualifying round at the Women’s Match Play Championship and the 2 rounds of the Farnum Cup.  Perrotta’s 227 was 8 shots better than runner-up Kate Evanko (Radley Run).  Karen Siegel (Commonwealth) was 3rd with 236.
