Her illustrious career included: 1949 US Amateur Championship, 4 (1977, 1980, 1981, 1983), US Senior Amateur Championships, 1950 Curtis Cup player, 1966 Curtis Cup Captain, 1984 World Cup Team Captain, 3 (1943, 1944, 1967) Western Amateur Championships, 1969 Eastern Amateur Championship, 3 (1946, 1952, 1955) Pennsylvania Amateurs, 9 (1946, 1956, 1959, 1962, 1969, 1970, 1973, 1983, 1992) Philadelphia Amateur Championships, 1959 New Jersey Amateur Championship, USGA Isaac Granger Award (1995), Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame (2008).
2 teams finished atop the leaderboard in the gross division. Elizabeth Roda (Lancaster) and Laura Hammond (Penn Oaks) tied Johanna Kung and Amanda Ploener (DuPont) with 1-under 72s. The teams were still tied after the three-hole aggregate playoff. On the first sudden death hole, the Roda/Hammond team won with a par.
