50 pairs of competitors ventured out on an extremely difficult Merion East course Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
The winners of this year’s tournament were the team of Karen Siegel and Jackie Rogowicz, posting a very impressive 73 gross. There was a tie for second place gross at 79 between Merion’s Liz Haines and Loraine Jones and Old York Country Club’s Carol Brophy and Haley Bookholdt. The match of cards resulted in Liz and Loraine finishing second, with Carol and Haley taking third.
Our net winners were the Philadelphia Country Club duo of Christine Kiernan and Diane Higgins with a 68. Second place net was Ginny Palmer and Trish Chawaga from Chester Valley Golf Club with a very close 69. And our third net prize went to RiverCrest’s Karen Thomas and Delia Keys, scoring a 71.
