St. Davids own Brynn Walker was successful in her bid to win her first WGAP Match Play Championship. Her steady play throughout the week left very little room for her opponents to make any headway the matches. Walker won 8 of the first 9 holes and finished the first round 9 holes up on Samantha Perrotta (Old York – Chesterfield). Brynn made birdies on holes 3, 4, and 6 in the afternoon round and closed out the match on the 7th hole, winning 12 and 11.
In the first flight, Ruth Averback (Old York Road) defeated Angie Coleman (DuPont) on the 18th and final hole of the match (2 up).
